Our Waikawa Community
As a major player in the local community, Waikawa Boating Club hosts a variety of organizations and activities at the club premises. Whether you’re a long-time resident or a newcomer to the bay, feel free to contact them or call the club office for further information.
Picton Friendship Club (formerly Picton Probus) meet on the fourth Wednesday of each month (except December) from 10am, newcomers welcome.

The Papatuanuku Trust offer residential independence to people with intellectual disabilities. The trust uses the club premises to offer social opportunities to its clients. Further information is available on the trust website.
Waikawa Social Club offers the opportunity for its members to socialize throughout the year. Members are able to access the cafe and bar facilities at the club and many participate in regular quiz and bingo nights. Through affiliation with Clubs NZ members have access to over 300 affiliated clubs nationally. The social club can be contacted via email email@example.com
Waikawa Residents and Ratepayers Association represents the interests of the residents of Waikawa Bay and meets regularly at the club. The association operates the Waikawa Bay launching ramp and welcomes all local residents as members, further information is available on the website.
Coastguard Boating Education offer regular courses including Day Skipper, Boatmaster and VHF education. These courses are held on the club premises and full club members are entitled to a discount on course fees. Upcoming courses are listed here.
