Cruising is all about enjoying the journey and being on the water. On a sailboat or launch, being out there on the magnificent Marlborough Sounds is a big part of what the Waikawa Boating Club is all about.
Cruising members like to keep things relaxed with a drink with friends, hanging off one of the combined clubs’ 100+ moorings dotted around the Marlborough Sounds and D’Urville Island; a fish on the hook and the barbie warming up. Or for the more adventurous, safely at anchor somewhere around the coasts of New Zealand.
